Oil Boiler Servicing

The benefits of having your boiler serviced are:-

  • Minimise the chance of the boiler breaking down

  • Help keep the boiler running as efficiently as possible

  • Ensure there is no carbon monoxide or soot spillage

All boilers are serviced to the manufactures specification, this involves accessing the heat exchanger, removal of boiler baffles and cleaning out of any debris inside the heat exchanger, check condition of baffles and refit.

Remove burner and check visual condition, remove and replace burner nozzle, check electrodes and ignition, check and clean photo cell unit, check oil pump pressure, refit impellor, clean air intakes, check oil pump pressure, refit burner and check all safety controls operating correctly.

Run boiler and carry out combustion test.

We service ALL makes of oil boilers:

Oil Tank Replacement

We can supply and install all oil tanks, plastic, metal, single skin and bunded, heating oil storage, diesel dispenser storage.

All new oil tanks have to meet OFTEC and building regulations. Most oil tanks are bunded now which is a tank with a tank inside as to reduce the risk of a oil spill.

There are many sizes and shapes and fire proof tanks available to you. From small 1200 slim bunded oil tank to large 10,000 litre oil tanks.

Powerflushing Heating Systems

The objective is to restore heating systems with circulation and boiler noise problems (caused by sludge and corrosion deposits) to optimum operation. Power flushing removes these deposits and the problems that they cause. Power flushing, is also an excellent way to pre-commission and clean heating systems, swarf and other sludge build up, to prevent rusting of components before use.

You wouldn't want to put a new boiler on an old heating system due to the chemicals in the water system causing rusting to the new boiler.

It is prudent to power flush a heating system immediately before fitting a new boiler to an existing system to prevent possible future problems. Many systems are found to contain corrosion and sludge.

Once the corrosion and sludge deposits have been loosened by chemicals, fresh clean water is forced through the heating system, pushing the contaminated water out through a full bore dump valve to waste. During the process, radiators are individually flushed, without removing or disconnecting them from the system, by directing the full output of the pump through each radiator separately. At the end of the flushing process, the system contains fresh clean water and finally you add the anti-rust inhibitor. Then the heating system will be balanced and run up to full working temperature to check operation.

Once happy all radiators are working correctly, the powerflush is complete.

How does it work?

The power flushing pump is simply connected into the heating system, wherever most practical. The powerful flow, combined with chemicals and instantaneous flow reverser device, will dislodge and mobilise deposits and corrosion.
